STABLE-2007 is a measure of 13 risk factors relevant for the treatment and supervision of adult males convicted of a sexually motivated offence.  It was first described in a government report (Hanson, Harris, Scott, & Helmus, 2007) and later as a journal article (Hanson, Harris, & Helmus, 2015).

What does training involve?

Experiential Learning

In groups, you will compete in game-based learning opportunities. Training is designed to keep you active and engaged, you won’t notice the time passing!

Case Studies

Learning will occur primarily through the completion of fifteen case studies. Struggling with these cases and subsequent discussion better mirror real life.

On-Demand Videos

Background content has now been segmented and transformed into brief on-demand training video. Many of which are exclusive to this training.

“Training Binder”

Welcome to your [virtual] binder–a vestige of a bygone era where interactions were face-to-face and you could ride the trolley for a nickel. Being something of a traditionalist, I still use the “binder” structure to organize your training materials. Click each tab to get a preview of what you will get after registering.

Tab 0. Pre-training Videos

Foundational knowledge is the first part of any training. It is also the most boring to sit through. As a novel solution, I have converted the foundational knowledge into a series of 5-10 minute videos that you can watch at your leisure prior to training. Now, if you have attended my Static-99R training, or a similar training recently, you would have gained most of this information. So, please review the playlist and make sure that you feel comfortable with the following topics:

– Standardized Risk Levels
– Types of Risk Assessment Tools
– Static & Dynamic Risk Information

You are the best presenter on this material. You present complicated material in a way that makes it easy to digest! Not many instructors/professors/supervisors have that talent. .”
